Save time with search alerts: Tools to manage your "must read" lit list

Save time with search alerts: Tools to manage your "must read" lit list In-Person

The information overload in scholarly literature has been likened to a fire hose of information: too much to ever read everything. Even if you focus on your specific subfield, there may still be too much. In this workshop I'll introduce you to search alerts and other tools to more quickly collect the literature that is most relevant to your research. Instead of going to the databases and journal pages to search and browse, have notifications of articles of interest delivered directly to your Inbox. I'll also cover a few tools that can help you identify newly published "must read" papers in your discipline. This workshop is being offered by members of the UMass Amherst Libraries Data Working Group.
