Add Meaning, Focus and Empowerment to Students Seeking/Finding/Use of Information In-Person
Do you find students often race through the creation of projects/papers? Are there information gaps or lack of passion in their work? Information Creation as a Process; Scholarship as Conversation; Searching as Strategic Exploration -- this is some of the enlivening language/practices librarians use in their classes and consultations. Learn about a framework and tools to foster a more meaningful, focused and empowering experience for students as they seek/find/use information. You will also learn about contemplative teaching resources in higher ed and right here on campus. Your own enjoyment of teaching might get a boost along the way.
Location: Du Bois Library, Faculty Commons (26th floor)
