Introduction to Open Educational Resources (OER): A Beginner's Guide for Faculty Online
This workshop is tailored for faculty members who are new to Open Educational Resources (OER) and are curious about how these free and openly licensed materials can enhance their teaching. OER offer an opportunity to increase student access, promote inclusion, and improve academic success by allowing educators to retain, remix, revise, reuse, and redistribute educational content. In this introductory session, we’ll break down what OER are, why they matter in today’s educational landscape, and how you can start integrating them into your courses with confidence. No prior experience with OER is needed—just an interest in exploring new ways to support student learning.
